ABOUT

For 10 years+ years, Steve Hatcher cooked for friends, family, churches and charities on weekends, holidays and vacations. Steve’s “day job” was running a franchise of a national mobile tool company and that left little time to pursue his love of feeding people. Along the way, he developed his signature BBQ Rub - like none you’ve ever had - and perfected pulled pork, ribs, chicken & brisket. In the summer of 2018 while on vacation on the NC coast, Steve and his wife, Catherine, began to dream the dream that became Hatch House BBQ. By the beginning of 2019, Steve had sold his tool truck, closed down his route, received his ServSafe Manager certification and bought a “few” more smokers. With the tool business behind him, Steve now had the time to devote toward fine tuning his menu - first up, creation of his signature Peach Habanero sauce. He now spends his days researching and testing new recipes - some you wouldn’t expect from a “BBQ guy”.
